…and so can you… as a family.
To kick off this season of service I shared with you how my family was invited to serve alongside another family at Tabitha’s Way Food Pantry.
I wouldn’t have attempted this service venture without her. In fact, once I got there I almost chickened out because it was so busy with hundreds of people walking in and out with the food they were being gifted. But this girl had it together and knew where to go.
For an hour everyone served in the back just sorting can goods and boxed foods, checking for expirations. It was a great task for kids who could read.
For the younger ones, just moving cans to the sorting table kept them busy.
They got pretty creative.
I loved watching my kids make friends with her kids, and bonding around service.
Her husband did the heavy lifting, moving boxes of sorted goods.
It seriously was the best service opportunity for the whole family.

I didn’t know my friend’s story and why she was so fearless about service until I read her story on her blog, Keep Moving Forward With Me. Go read it! It will inspire you for the new year.
