I was asked to lead a roundtable discussion at SALT 2018 on Healing with Truth: a powerful approach to overcoming a struggle with pornography.
SALT is a gathering place for women who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The name is inspired by the scripture:
“Ye are the salt of the earth…”
Matthew 5:13
The focus of SALT is on strengthening the Latter-day woman by helping her draw closer to her Savior, Jesus Christ.
I was honored to speak on this subject because this is something that I have an absolute testimony on. Christ’s truths set us free from sin and heal us. I witnessed that complete healing with my husband who struggled with pornography for many years of his life. I have written our story before. You can read it here.
This video is the roundtable discussion I led, in part, and is meant to openly start more conversations on this topic. Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have or share it with someone else.
I truly believe that in order for those who struggle with pornography to heal we have to be willing to talk about it openly. Shame hides in the shadows, but Christ’s healing powers do not, because He is light. My message is one of true hope in Christ that all can heal from this struggle and any other through Christ’s truths.

Being a part of SALT and associating with so many women who were there to attend or speak at the breakout sessions and roundtable discussions was an honor. I love to hear personal stories of faith and lessons learned from the hard moments of life. Through the testimony of others, we get to see life through new eyes and maybe for the first time understand we are not alone.
