… and so can we.
My friend Amber and her brought dog treats to drop off at an animal shelter as a service project for #LIGHTtheWORLD. I’m not much of an animal person, but I bet they do get lonely in the shelters.
But they didn’t just bring any dog treats, they made them! How sweet is that. If you want to try making your own dog treat too, there is plenty to choose from on Pinterest. Or here is a link to the recipe my friend used.
I love that this service started at home. Perfect for little ones to get involved. They were so happy to drop them off.
They also brought some worn out towels to donate to the shelter. I would have just thrown my old towels away. Now we all know what to do with old towels.
Again, this is another great service idea for families with small children since it was service that you could begin at home and then finish inside the warm animal shelter visiting the lonely animals.
